Tymur Yashchenko’s film about the Ukrainian vessel taken by Russia in 2014 will be screened there for the first time.
U-311: Cherkasy, the Ukrainian-Polish film by Ukrainian filmmaker Tymur Yashchenko joined the main program of the 35th Warsaw International Film Festival. The first international premiere of the motion picture will take place there, too. The State Cinema Agency reported that on Facebook.
“It is very nice for Ukraine to be represented at the Warsaw International Film Festival again. Last year, four Ukrainian films were represented in this festival’s various programs last year; they were created with the assistance of the Agency, and one of these films came back with the Grand Prix in its respective program”, Pylyp Illenko, the head of the Agency said.
Commander of the ship Yuriy Fedash consulted the production team. He currently serves as the captain of the Ukrainian Navy.
